Assistant Manager

Job Description:
The assistant manager at UniFURsity Club assists the general manager in driving the operation on a daily level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor dog behavior, conduct temperament tests, and oversee dog play

  • Ensure the team provides guests with attentive, courteous, and informative service and shows a personal interest in all pets; efficiently and effectively address customer complaints and resolve problems

  • Effectively schedule team members’ tasks to meet guests’ needs, while maintaining efficient labor practices

  • Manage facilities, providing a high level of cleanliness and maintenance, and schedule essential cleaning duties and upkeep of rooms and equipment to maximize the appearance and availability of facilities

  • Train, coach, mentor, develop, and discipline team members to guarantee a sufficient level of knowledge and ability to provide proper services and maintain a safe playgroup environment for guests

  • Educate and inform all guests of upcoming promotions and initiatives

  • Assist with meeting sales objectives and goals

  • Additional project work and duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school diploma; authorized to work in the United States

  • Related experience in pet care (daycare, boarding, veterinary field)

  • Experience managing personnel preferred

  • Must have own reliable transportation

  • Working knowledge of computers and business software

  • Ability to meet work volume that may exceed 40 hours per week to complete essential duties

  • Ability to work early mornings and evenings

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, climb, and carry 50 pounds
